As we said before, the first important thing you need to do in a tomb is carry the body of a highly respected person to his or her final resting place. That is a very serious and solemn job.

We already saw that the arrangement of chambers in the Great Pyramid is terrible

But to get to ANY of these ‘rooms’ you have to crawl through very small passageways (less than 4 feet tall) on your hands and knees. And most of the passageways and the Grand Gallery are built on a diagonal slope of 26 degrees and couldn’t be climbed by most people if they hadn’t installed wooden walkways with wooden cleats nailed down every foot or two. You can see Kent sitting in the Descending Passage which, as far as we know, was the ‘front door’ and ‘hallway’ of the ‘Number #1 Most Inspiring Tomb in the World’. See the wooden boards under his ass? See the strips of wood nailed to the wooden ‘walkway’ put there to provide traction? See how he has jammed the toes of his sneakers against the wall to keep from sliding down? By the way, this picture was taken at the very top of the Descending Passage. At the other end of this passage is the Subterranean Chamber.

As we said before, huge undecorated rooms connected by extremely small passageways with highly sloped floors you can’t stand on don’t look ANYTHING like actual tombs.

But these bizarre chambers and passageways DO look like a particular kind of tool, one that has been in use since long before the Pyramids were built. It looks, to me, like a distillation apparatus. The shape of the Grand Gallery looks very much like a Condenser tube, and the corbelled shape would compress and condense the gasses as they rose, just like the narrow neck of a beaker.

There’s a very interesting website that presents a compelling argument that the Pyramids might have been used to produce chemicals, especially Nitrogen fertilizer, which would also explain how they fed all those workers.

Here’s a YouTube video specifically about the Great Pyramid:
