3. Large rooms & wide hallways
Pharoah Tutankhamun (aka King Tut) was a relatively minor Pharoah who died unexpectedly at the age of 19. Being a teenager, he hadn’t planned for his death. For that reason he was hastily buried in a very small tomb, relative to most of the other Pharoah’s tombs. But it still contained 4 rooms with an average height of 12 feet. You can easily walk from room to room – there is no need to crawl on your hands and knees.

One of the largest Tombs in Egypt is that of Ramses II. Its main passageway is about 170 meters long (almost 560 feet). There are about a dozen rooms. All the rooms and passageways are tall. At no point did we have to stoop down to enter any room.

Here’s the inside of one of those rooms:

All of these rooms are large. They have tall ceilings. If there are hallways connecting the rooms, those hallways are large and spacious with high ceilings. A group of 8 pall bearers carrying a large casket could pass through easily.
Now let’s compare these actual Egyptian Tombs with the Great Pyramid. There are only 4 rooms where you can stand up in the Pyramid of Cheops: The Grand Gallery (28’ high), The Queen’s Chamber (20’ high at center), the King’s Chamber (19’ high), and the rough, unfinished Subterranean Chamber (~13’ high).
Here’s a drawing of the ‘Antechamber’ leading to the so-called ‘King’s Chamber’ of the Great Pyramid. For just ONE person to get into the King’s Chamber you have to bend over nearly double, or crawl on your hands and knees.

And here is a photo of the actual hole, as seen from inside the King’s Chamber:

Could 6 or 8 people carry a casket through that tight opening?
No way.
As we said, the Grand Gallery, is the tallest chamber. It’s 28’ tall, but only about 6 feet wide at the bottom and only 3 feet wide at the top. And again, if there wasn’t a modern wooden walkway with cleats attached you could barely stand on the floor, let alone climb it. And climb it carrying a casket? No way.
This just doesn’t make sense as a room, or even as a hallway between rooms. Who builds a ‘room’ that is 6 feet wide and 150 feet long? Who builds a ‘hallway’ that’s 6 feet wide and 28 feet tall?
No one, that’s who. No one has ever built a house or a tomb that looks like this.
